The vast majority of men develop at least one prostate disorder in their lifetime. Just think that after the age of 50, benign prostatic hyperplasia, i.e. enlargement of the gland, is an almost physiological condition or that many men, even younger ones, suffer from prostatitis, i.e. inflammation of the gland. However, despite the fact that these are very often treatable diseases, it must be said that they are associated with various types of discomfort, which can compromise the quality of life. Mycotherapy is excellent for combating both the symptoms and the underlying causes, restoring balance throughout the body.

Symptoms which should not be ignored

Hyperplasia of the prostate hinders emptying the bladder completely which impacts the quality of life because of an urgent need to urinate that forces you to run to the toilet during the day and even at night. Tension in the bladder and pelvic discomfort are also not uncommon.

The most useful mushrooms

If you have any of these symptoms you should seek medical attention. The mycotherapy expert will recommend a basic treatment of at least three months.

The most useful mushroom for the prostate is Maitake: studies have shown that it is 10-20 times more active than Serenoa repens, an active ingredient contained in many traditional drugs, so much so that 1 g of Maitake is equivalent, based on its effect on the prostate, to 10-20 g of Serenoa repens. Maitake makes up the "Prostate" protocol together with Reishi, a combined treatment which can reduce enlargement of the gland and restore normal urinary flow. In fact, it should be remembered that Reishi is also very powerful: it inhibits the 5 alpha-reductase which transforms testosterone into DH-testosterone, a substance responsible for the enlargement of the prostate. In addition, it blocks other biochemical sequences involving the enlargement of the prostate.

In more complex cases Polyporus can also be added, a particularly effective remedy for the prostate, both as prevention (it protects the bladder and urinary system) and treatment.

Moreover, it is worth remembering that these three mushrooms perform many other useful actions, for example in strengthening the immune system, fighting inflammation, preventing cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and improving energy and well-being.

As always, to obtain results, mushrooms must be taken at a dosage of two grams per day, for at least three months.
